Any suggestions to clean shop window glass coated with welding smoke, rust grinding dust, paint overspray and all other materials generated by a handyman restoration shop

I would be sure to rinse, brush off with a soft brush, the metal debris. If you just go at it with a rag and cleaner, you can scratch the glass up longterm.
The welding can pit the glass and ruin it. My friend does ALOT of body work and goes through alot of cardboard to tape up the windows, because welding can ruin them in a heartbeat. Why are you welding so close to a window?

Here's an old bodyman's trick: Find Bon Ami in bar (cake) form. Use a damp cloth, rub it into the bar and then apply it to the glass in a circular motion. After it dries, buff with a clean, dry cloth.

It will remove all kinds of grime, including paint overspray.

Good luck,
Scott

try a product made by castrol called super clean. most auto parts stores carry it. it will dissolve most crud, you may need to scrub it a little with 4-0 steel wool, then use a glass cleaner after .

use a razor scraper to clean it off first then use the vinegar and newpaper to clean it up.
