560 PTO

I am changeing fluids in my 560 the book says fill the pto until it comes out the hole on the right side of the pto case,It also says fill with two quarts 10w oil. now I have about 1 pint init and it is comming out the hole so witch is correct? I drained more out than a pint but not two quarts so I need some input. Thanks

I could be wrong about this since I haven't had a 560 for several years but I know there is 2 or 3 different pto's on them and they may hold different amounts of fluid however I had one that the fluid had not been changed in and the oil had caked into sludge in the corners of the case to the point it wouldn't hold a full quart. But that don't explain how much you drained out. Could it have been over full when you drained it? Hope this is of some help. Brian

You need to run the tractor hydraulics for a minute to fill all the orfices. Crank tractor, use the lift, turn off and refill.
