Well in the last week I have now canned about 30 pints of green matos. Some dill, some hot dill, I.E. they have hot peppers in them and the most that I did are Bread& butter. My wife syas once you start eating the B&B you don't want to stop so I guess I did them right. And yes I do the canning and my wife doesn't even get close to the kitchen when I'm in there. Just for you guy to know there is a lot of ways to can them

I got that recipe for the green tomatoes, but well over half of them turned red, so I made 7 quars of spaghetti sauce. Hey old thanks for the recipe, Ill have it for future reference.

hey old, have any of your tomatoes turned red yet? we already had the first frost, and almost all of them are still green, my neighbors all have the same thing, they just wont ripen. maybe we had a bad year. we didnt get a lot of sun in august, the corn has a lot of blight in the stalks. guess i'll just have to hide in the ditch and toss the green tomatoes at the neighbor when he drives by.....

We had a frost firday so I picked them all but none where ripe. Thats why I canned so many of them. I figure at least this way they will get eaten instead of them just going to waste

My mother used to make a relish from green tomatoes called 'pickle lily'(There were no pickles in it). It was the best relish on hamburgers I ever tasted. My mother's mother was from the Netherlands and I think that's where the recipe came from.

Have you ever heard of such a relish?

Did you get your float fixed?

I tried t fix it but what I did didn't work so we picked up a new flaot today so I'm one step closer to getting this thing up. It runs good but with the bad flaot of course it floods easy unless i watch what I'm doing that is
