Howdy Y'all!
I've been talking and dreaming outloud on here for a long time now and I finally got my first John Deere tractor today thanks to a real nice guy and the right timing. Its a 41 B hand start and its in good shape. The price was right and its on of those deals that I will learn more from that guy than I ever could elsewhere. Ive got a picture of me on it but it was kinda misting rain so see what ya think. Hope your day was as great as mine! Caleb in TX

Wow, nice tractor.
I've got the newer model. '43.
Mine looked (almost) that good for about a month, then I bought some land and started using it to mow brush and knocked some of the new paint off. Tuff as nails. I'm working on getting another tractor for chores and I'll shine her up again and put her back on light duty. She's done enough.
Congrats!!
Dan.

Fine looking "B" caleb. Excellent choice for a 1st tractor. One suggestion, though, you may want to let the future "better half" choose the next one. Things just seem to go a lot smoother that way. Just let her know,(I'm sure she already does)that another John Deere is the only thing a "real" woman would own.

Thanks fellas, but..... in reply to caleb, 10-15-2006 15:58:24
How in the world do you keep it from doing the wide area on the screen? I resized the photo to what I thought was the right size for here and I hit enter when I was typing, what am I doing wrong? As for the next tractor it's going to be after a little ring... Not phone ring either. I've gotta sweetheart of a gal that I told many moons ago I wouldn't marry any woman until I had a tractor. So thats next. Then maybe a red or orange one. I love JD but I LOVE old iron, Farmalls, Allis, I'd really like an Oliver but we shall see what time brings. But I think a 730 will be the next one. You linked in the web site address. That does _not_ work.

Link

You need to link in the _picture_ address. Like this:

Link

If you click on the picture with the _right_ mouse button, then 'properties' you will be able to get the real picture address that you need to link to.

Its some how heart warming to come across a young feller with his priorities in order.
No tractor--no wife.
Then he steps up an meets his obligation to the girl.
I have reason to hope for the younger generation now.

Congratulations, Caleb. That's a "tractor parade" quality machine. Hope you have a lot of fun with it.
