I have a case 1070 that stopped moving.I was pulling a load of haylage in the driveway in 2nd gear when it would not stopped pulling. You can shift through all gears without the clutch and reverse does not work. towed tractor to the shed. Don't know if the clutch broke or what.

I agree with Grumpy. I had that happen some years ago. Runs up my mind that there was a service bulletin item that made some slight changes when the tractor was split. Not sure.

This happened twice in the 90's to our 1974 1070. Once due to a blown hydraulic hose while out disking which dropped the HyTran level so low the tractor stopped moving. The other time is was some output shaft in the rear end that sheared off and ended up about $5,000 if I remember right. When it went into the shop there was another in for the same repair, dealer said it was common on that model. Good luck with yours, great tractor otherwise.

Agree with Grumpy an will add that is a easy fix an in rare chance it is something else you would need to split it anyway. Had a1070 with 7000hrs an still had origional one in it.

If this is a powershift tractor you probably took out your torque limiter. This is a clutch plate that is bolted to the flywheel. It is made to slip a little under shock loads. the center hub could have broke out. Split the tractor behind the engine to repair. Stan

Yeah that's the problem with a 1070. Traded it off. Nice tractor but it's pretty common, they don't go for much around here.
