My gosh ,looked at the weather this afternoon. The long term forcast for my area for WED< THURS< FRI. is rain and rain mixed with SNOW! I walked out back in our feilds this morning and sunk about a 1/2 in with my work boots. We grow a small amount of produce that had been done for the season , an overflow from our greenhouses. I honestly dont know how you guys are going to get the corn and beans in this year!

Been trying to rain here right now in panhandle area and we're glad to get some more again. Wheat was needing a drink but the cotton and corn guys will be griping about it. It had already dried out enough to get in a high fire danger situation again so rain is welcome here.

We just started running some soybeans today and they are going good. We have some pretty thin spots out there but I told dad today it was go time. I heard that same forecast and told him we had to get it done now. The neighbor was over and was shocked it was dry enough out here to go alright. It is actually dry enough on top to not even mud the tires. Only in a few lower spots. We actually want to plant some wheat too. I was feeling better about every round he made out there. He always waits until everybody else starts going but not this year. We have never lacked for ambition but mechanical breakdowns are the biggest enemy. Just hope we can keep our momentum until it is all done and delivered to the elevator. This is in mid michigan and we have about four good days according to the forecast. I don't want to have to deal with mudding around out there. Seen it to many times in this area over the years. Later people.

So dry here the corn leaves are turning to dust as soon as the corn head grabs stalk .
