Morning all; I put just water in the WD when I replaced the pump and hose's this summer so now its time to drain it and winterize. Books at the farm and I want to take the anti-freeze with me. How many gallons do I need? Thanks, Bob

My WD45 holds a little over 3 gallons (book says 3 1/8) of coolant so I would get 2 gals.

Thanks; Seems like every year I have a bit left over and wind up disposing of it at the re-cycle center. Dont like to mix and dont trust "old" antifreeze. Try to replace every third year. Used to use supplements to replace the rust preventive but just change out now. Bob

I see no reason at all to dispose of mixed, but unused, antifreeze. I premix all mine to 50-50 and then use it as needed. Beware when purchasing, much of the antifreeze offered today is already premixed and further dilution decreases the protection.

Bus Driver; It has been my understanding that "old" anti-freeze looses its abiltiy to prevent rusting. It may still prevent the freeze but still allow cylinder walls to be eaten through. (some engines) Is this a myth?? Bob

Nice looking Case. Did the plow come out with that color combination? Neat looking setup anywy. I have a 48 Case D that has a bad cylinder and needs to be given the whole treatment. 4 Years now and I still havent got to it. Bob
