I"d like to narrow up the rear end of my B farmall to approx. the width of an A. I"ve seen B"s (Not BN"s) that have been modified such that the left side final drive appears to be right up against the gear box. Could anyone tell me what"s involved in doing this? I don"t want to make any modifications I couldn"t change back if I wanted it back to original condition either.

thanks,
Scott

I will never understand questions like this one. Sell the B.

I'd say trading the B for an A would be the easiest & safest way to accomplish it.

I have seen 2 that had been odne that way by putting what appeared to be an A final drive on the left side. both of them had been rolled also.

Lets see now.The "A" and "B" Farmall are identical except for Wheel arrangements and You have a Farmall "B" and you want to make an Farmall "A"out of it with an Narrow Front On it? If You do not change to an Wide front you will be operating an " Accident" waiting for the first Hillside or Ditch so it can happen. Why not trade some one for what you want, an "A" that will at least be somewhat safe to operate.Of course this is only my opinion and is not open to debate . What ever you do I wish you good luck. John
