Hi Gang;
This is the English built MF 65 introduced in 1959 and the 1st "big tractor" MF had in England.
58HP gross 4 cylinder Perkins engine, 3F & 1R and Hi-Lo gears with optional Multipower which gave higher speed in each gear by the flick of a switch. 540 & groundspeed pto, & Ferguson depth & position hydraulics. The tractor was based on the US built MF50 We didnt get the MF50,90 or 95 in England).
This tractor is fitted with aftermarket folding ROPS frame.
Cheers David

Hello, David. Greetings from central Michigan. I have really enjoyed your pics. The Massey in this pic has an aftermarket ROPS. Are these ROPS stll availible in the old country? BTW, My paternal grandmother came from near Cambridge, wherever that is. Her name was Cook.

I.T.D.,Ground speed is just that, PTO runs with the wheel speed,wheels stop PTO stops. the faster you go the faster the PTO speed. The only thing I ever used it for was raking hay with a MF PTO side delivery rake.

What do you mean by "& groundspeed pto?" All I've heard of is 540 RPM and 1000 RPM.

The MF 50 was more or less based on the MF 35. We had an MF 65 also. It was slightly bigger than the 50. (50 was 32HP gas/continental 4-cyl or Perkins 3-cyl 152) 65 was a 4-cyl gas OR diesel, bigger CID than the 50. 50 and 65 shared front ends/steering and sheet metal
