On the back of by truck, I have a Delta tool box. It came with the truck so i never had a choice on style. Anyway, it gets water in it when it rains. Now I thought it shouldbe water proof. Does anybody know of any common spots where it could be leaking? The seal around it looks to be ok so i dont know where else to look. Thanks

I have to disagree a bit. I have a Delta that is the structutral plastic version. It has two doors and in the 3 years I have owned it it hasn't leaked a drop. However, on this version the lids come down much farther over the edge than on the metal models.

Like Rusty said, two lids will leak. I have a single lid that came with my pick-it-up truck and it stays dry.

Does it have pipe running around the perimeter of the lid? Loosen the bolts holding it (pipe) down and put a dab of silicone around each one.

I assume the tool box is the style with two lids? If so, I have never seen one of those that did not leak except when brand new. The style with just one lid is a much better design.

Does the lid latch tight up against the seal? The latch can be adjusted to shut tighter up against the seal.

The seal is on the lid. And I didn't know the latch is adjustable. I'll have to look at that. Thanks

Some of them will leak water through the hinge.
