Just because there newer doesn't mean they don't break.LOL

I found the rattle in my feeder house.

A band that was welded on before I bought this combine started to peel off.

My dad always used to say if you don't want it to break, leave it in the shed and don't run it.

Now that I got it all apart I don't know where to stop with replacing parts.

Kind like if you remove the engine you might as well put in a new clutch.

Gary

Your sure getting fancy with your pic posting ><~
I had that same drum out of my 77 for new bearings a couple days ago.
Got the 88 in the shop now. The combine yard is parting better machines than I run. My 2 have well over 12000 hours between them. I guess I keep running them just to see how far they will go!. I would put either one up against any new gleaner any day ( and have) Couple years ago we got on a big custom job and ran with a new R52 and a almost new R 62 . The Gleaner dealer brought out another new 62 to have area farmers drive. After a couple hours he told the guy we were cutting for the old Deere's had to go or he was taking his home. He said my old wore out machines were making his look bad. His left. Oldest son & I say the next ones will be Red.
