What a weekend. Severe storms with several tornados Friday evening. These storm produced from 12 to 17 inches of rain Friday night thru Saturday morning. Lots of flooding. I was able to get most of my cattle out. Had three cows that were trapped but found out yesterday morning they swam out and were ok. Several neighbors lost cattle but are finding them down reiver on high ground. I lost 50 round bales and one tractor completely under water.

On a funny note, the tractor that got under water had a bad tire on the front. About ready to blow out. When the water went down enough to get to the tractor, we saw a tire that was lodged in a fence about 50 feet from the tractor. It turned out to be the same size and brand tire that is on the tractor and the tire we found is nearly new. We just had to laugh about that.

In the county west of me there were three deaths along the Spring River near Hardy. I heard yesterday that one man has lost 300 cows. Hope that he recovers most of them. Also hearing stories of people loosing as much as 250-600 round bales of hay. Ouch!!! That has to hurt.

It looks like a lot of soy beans and rice are going to drown in the White and Cache River bottoms.

Pretty bad here in KY Friday and Saturday. I don't know how much rain we had but it wash my gravel road out twice. Had to use the old blade to pull them all back up the hill. What a mess. Also 3 people drown were I work. That was sad. All over now and it is beautiful here today. Well you all stay safe
