Leroy,

Thank You. Like I was saying, "I'm looking to find a good site for antique tractor values. I have some tractors we need to put values on."

I have a very good friend that wants to know what these tractors are worth. He asked me to look them up on my computer. He would never consider an auction nor would he chance E-bay. Just if he was to sell them, he does not want to get screwed.

I have an old "Tractor blue book" but it is 15yrs old.

Thanks again, Bob

Hey Bob, try this site. Click on results, then enter the tractor you want to check and hit search.

It is nearly impossible to determine the value of an antique tractor. Appraised values of modern farm machinery are arrived at mostly by comparing the prices paid at auction for any given item, and then making adjustments to allow for condition, options, number of hours, etc. Even though antique tractors do change hands quite frequently, there just isn't a big enough market to establish any real values. Your best bet, as Nebraska Cowman said, is to gather the tractors all together and take them to a consignment auction, and then spread the word about the auction.

In my pile of absolutely worthless paper is an "Official Tractor And Farm Equipment Guide" (64), and when I Googled "Tractor And Farm Equipment Guide" to see if it was still being published, a whole raft of "guides" came up. Probably the biggest problem will be to tell which "guide" is good for your part of the country. Good luck.

Sure is nice to have a point of reference. Easy to get burned on each side. Equipment buying guide is helpful. Checking on the "Big" auction site is helpful, may take awhile but will help you.

If you realy want to sell the tractors, I'd suggest getting together with some neighbors and having an auction. Then you will know what they are worth. Otherwise you are on your own cuz a tractor ain't worth nothin' til it's sold and the cash in your pocket.

You are 100% correct. In my opinion, value of anything is determined by one thing, and one thing only: What the buyer and seller agree on. Period.
