I have a 1941 Oliver 60 that still has the 6 volt generator system--I need a source to buy a replacement cut out switch for it that mounts on top of the generator.

Thanks.

Kurt, I have seen those Universal Bi Polar one size fits all 2 wire 6 volt Cutout Relays at like Rural King or Tractor Supply or Central Tractor etc etc. They are labeled how to wire depending on if youre at Positive or Negative ground which simply involves swapping the leads (BAT & GEN) side to side. I think they even make 2 wire solid state cutout relays now which arent much more then a high power diode so current can flow out of the genny to charge the battery but NOT in the reverse direction so the battery gets discharged when shes shut down.

Also, provided they are the simple 2 wire cutout relay type of device and so long as they are for 6 volts and your polarity (Pos or Neg ground) or are bi polar reversible, about any brand would work regardless if for your particular tractor.

Youre sure yours is bad ?? and/or you need a new one to make her charge??

The best thing about those old gen cut outs is that they are all pretty much interchangeable.
One off a Ford, early VW, old Harley Davidson, won't matter.
