I have a c1168945k28 serial # on my transmission and would like to find out what year it is and about a stabilizer bar kit? The bar kit I was told would run me about $750.00 or what about running turnbuckles and chains like some of the newer tractors?

My choice on the stabilizers would be the more modern external square telescopic variety found on the 30 series (4630). If you have the newer style arms with the extendable link ends, then they should be a snap to install. If you have the older style arms, then you may need to drill the arm to accept the bracket for the stabilizer.... The stabilizers are available through NH, possibly this site, and certainly Sparex. Google them and you should find what you need. The Sparex stuff should be about 1/2 the money NH wants, but it never hurts to check. HTH.

Not sure of the year. As for the sway bar just add a piece of heavy angle iron, with some different pin holes drilled in the side to replace the bottom bracket of the fender. Purchase a sway bar with the right size holes and overall length. This should be less then $100 if you make it yourself.
