Allis B's have a built in quirk when hot. If it has a petcock on the intake manifold above the carburator, open it when tractor is hot. To let in pure air. Don't ask me to explain..it is just the way they are. Last B engine I had on 6foot Allis combine was 100 percent no start when hot and 100 percent start with petcock open.. Kenny

do you mean by petcock the plate that's bolted on the side of the intake manifold to preheat the intake?

No. It either has one or not. Must not have one. Is there a little 1/4 inch pipe plug there? Make sure the impluse is snapping like OLD says, and maybe try shutting the maine jet closed for a few cranks till it starts. Not just yours, but all of them, at least most, did this .

Impulse in the mag maybe sticking/not owrking and that could cause you the problem.
