The spindles on my cub cadet 71 mower deck are in need of some attention. Are these rebuildable? If so where can I find the parts for a fair price? Does anybody sell new units? Also after I fix these I want to put some grease in them that will make them last. Opinions? Thanks. Mike

i have a model 76, a model 100, and a 122 cadet mowers, 2 have the 42" decks and the 76 has a 38. the 42 decks are 3 blade, and the 38 is a 2 blade. i have rebuilt all three deck quills. your friendly i-h dealer can get all the prts for them. i think the whole assemblys are available. they are not difficult to rebuild. they all have zerk fittings. i also have a little deer L-110 automatic rider. i just replaced both deck spindles on that one too. the deer new had no grease fittings. the replacement spindle asemblies were about $40.00 each and those came with grease zerks.
