It could be many things.Even a worn lower end can allow more oil to be thrown up onto cylider walls and burned when rings are fine.I still read the service manuals for each motor I have before concluding one bad part because Ive been way off at times and disassembled things needlessly.Start with compression test.Frst dry then wet with squirt of oil.If it goes up it could be rings[valves ok]stays low valves and guides.Compression test has also been sorta replaced by leakdown testers which you can by in the car magazines and need a compressor to pump the air into the cyl.

You'll need to check the compression, first dry then add 1/2 tsp motor oil thru plug hole. If compression is "low" dry then increases with addition of oil, it's more likely rings need replacement. Oil will not help busted rings, severely worn pistons or burnt valves. Could be valve guides/seals, does it puff real bad when you first start it? Could (slim chance) be a crankcase ventilation problem. Has it lost a lot of power? Not familiar with Kawasaki or the specs you need, just have general "small engine" knowledge.

Good luck,
ll

Can be things that do not need a tear-down and rebuild. Determine what problem is first. Could be something simple like a blocked breather, or could be pin-pointed before dismantling - like compression test or compressed air test. Just try not to fly blind. Just likely to cost extra, that"s all.

BTW, turn off the caps lock and stop shouting. Easier on the ears!
