I have a 6.5 diesel w/o a turbo in my 94 half ton chevy. Do these engines have more than one water pump? There is a device that runs off of the drive belt in the lower left side. It has water hoses running into it. Is this a second water pump?

The power steering pump is located on the lower left (driver's side) of the engine. It has 2 return hoses, one from the power steering gear, and one from the HydraBoost, for the brakes, that look like small water hoses. Could that be what you are looking at?

The vacuum pump, used for controlling emissions devices, and the turbo wastegate on turbo'ed models is located on the lower right side.

Sure that's not a 6.2? 6.2 came without a turbo, 6.5 had one. Not saying someone removed but wondering.

BTW, I have a 5.7 diesel manual (about 2.5 inches thick) for the asking if someone wants to pay Fedex.

There were some 6.5's without turbos too, usually in vans though.
