Hey, Greg like I said when mine is pulling a chisel plow or 3 row subsoiler, mine will burn up to 7 gallons. I don't know if the pump has been turned up or not. I don't use it very much because it is so bad on fuel. Cutting hay or pulling a round baler, its more like 3. I cant see the tach because the cover has faded but I know it tachs out at 2600 rpm, what does your or Allens tach out to.

My 1066 uses 3.5 gal per hour running a New Holland 1411 10ft. discbine in heavy hay and its not even making it smoke. I've never checked it plowing but it must be in the 4 to 5 range but I suppose if I was just running a square baler it might be around 2 GPA?

At the risk of starting a brand war here, with my 4020 (near the same size) I figure about 3 to 4 gal/hr depending on the job. I wouldn't be surprized if I really had something to make it work it would burn 5 gal/hr, but even chopping you spend a fair amount of time idling changing wagons. Thats going by the hour meter on the tach, so with light work where I'm running only half or 2/3 throttle the clock on the tach runs slow and I may be getting 2 gal/hr real time. 1 1/2 gal/hr sounds excellent.

Well i think so??? I ran 7 hrs on it and put 9 gal back in it and it was filled both times to the bottom of the neck. Yes it had some idle time but it still averages 1.3gal per hr. Is there somthing wrong with me????
