Hi Gang;
David Brown was a |World famous manufacturer of gears, and got into the tractor business by building Harry Ferguson's 1st tractor with 3 point hitch. DB & HF fell out when HF got Henry Ford to build the Ford 9N.
After WW2 David Brown because a major manufacturer of tractors - eventually taken over by Tenaco.
This is the popular Cropmaster model built in the late 1940's & early 1950's. Available with DB gas & vaporising oil engine or DB diesel engine. Early models had 4F & 1R, later 3F & 1R with hi & lo gearbox. Unique feature was twin bench seat & scuttle to keep driver's legs warm.
Cheers David

Used to have one similar to that when i was a kid up in Lancs. In addition to the regular pedal clutch it had a hand clutch that could be operated from the side of tractor. I used to steer when picking up hay bales while Dad operated the hand clutch. Sounds bloody dangerous thinking about it now, buts thats the way it was.
