Hi folks,a friend of mine has recently purchased a M-H 101 snr tractor and I am looking for some infomation on it. What years were they made and what horsepower was the engine, any info would be very greatfull. I posted this message on the M-H site three days ago and nobody replied. I think they are all still sulking because they had to have an englishman show them how to make tractors in the mid fifties - the great Harry Ferguson. Have fun MJ

I think you should go back to the Massey forum and address that coment about Harry Ferguson to "Harris Guy". We could use a little excitement.

I had a 101 SR that was a 1946 I think. It had a 226 Continental engine and was not rated at Nebraska.
I pulled a sawmill with it for years.
I would guess the belt HP in the mid to upper 40"s range.

Oh My ! ... Don't tell the Irish he was an Englishman, as he was born at Growell, near Dromore, County Down, Ireland (in what is now Northern Ireland)

Yes my mistake Sammy and I should have known better. I have one of his first tractors, a 1936 Ferguson type A serial number 226. Thanks for putting me right. MJ
