When I search MachineFinder I come up with 1640's and 3140's in Canada. Are these rebadged US models or Canada specific? Are parts readily available in the US?

For all of you sitting on some of your 20,30 and almost every 40 and all 50 & 55 Deere utility tractors. And thinking you are operating a US built machine. Have I a surprise for you. They are as German and French as schnitzel and soufflés. The tractors were built in Mannheim Germany with engines from Saran France. Yes the the US and Canadian/rest of the world tractors are the same except for some sheet metal in the 30/40 years and the decals on the side. You might get a blank look at a US dealership asking for 1840 parts. Not to worry, some people never get out of their home county either. Order the parts, service and operators manuals form Mother Deere at 1-800-522-7448. Or look up the parts numbers online at the Deere site. You will find everything cross references to the same part numbers. Yes parts are on the counter the same or next day in the US with a 2120,2130, 1640,1840, 3120,3130 etc. Even for the 310.510 & 710 tractors.

These came off the same assembly line their US counterparts did in almost all cases. Gad, you'd think Canada is a foreign country or something.

I beilieve --not sure--- that those are european based tractors for the canadian market
most companies actually did that for some reason.

I would think there would be someway of getting parts(with effort I am sure)
