We have a 1947 WC Allis Chalmers that we are restoring. We replaced the starter with a new starter that requires the original linkage and rod that extends to the foot petal (the old starter had a solenoid). Does anyone know where we could get these parts (including the spring)?

We also need the original magneto ground control rod, but we are not sure how it attaches to the magneto. The magneto is a Fairbanks Morse J4B3.

Any help with locating these parts would be greatly appreciated.

I still have some of the FM magneto ground switches for those used on AC. FM made the switch and it attaches on the side of mag at hole for ground terminal or you have to drill the hole if not one already in mag. These are NOS switches and NLA new. Email me if you need one. third party image

Are you sure the starter rod shouldn't be like the ones on the WD/WD45. I know on my WC Speed Patrol its just like my WD and WD45 as far as the starter rod which is mounted one the steering post. If it is like that I think I have one of those rods on a WD parts tractor I have. E-mail is open. Also you can see the WC Speed patrol on my web site
