I"m looking to buy a 2010 jd backhoe.Don"t know the year yet.Does any one know when they were built, and if they are a piece of junk.I just sold my old 1965 530 case hoe and i"d like to get something newer that that won"t break the old piggy.$10"000, thats all my future ex wife says.

You can find a 1970's vintage Deere hoe for that price. 2010's are best painted and parked between a 1010 and 2510 in a collection.

Look elsewhere. The 50 and 51 hoes were for all intents and purposes, good looking machines, but parts are obsolete and if you can find parts, they are very expensive. Not a lot of digging force either. A good 580 Case would be a much better choice. I have a JD 3010 TLB that I will sell real cheap.

they stopped building them in the mid 60's when they started building the 450.
