Last couple of weeks I seem to note a bit of, should I say, irritation on all the boards. Find myself doing the same thing. Too dry, too much rain, hotter thah he**, too much work, broken down machines are probable reasons. We are all friends so lets not react too much. Just part of living and I for one am glad i am still here.

It's not just farmers. in reply to Coloken, 07-28-2006 07:36:52
Another board I'm active (was?) on just had a blow up of the first order with the owner/moderator.

Some poor customer service recently, followed by a user banning / post deletion for no reason many of the senior posters there could see other than somebody stepped on some politically correct toes of a industry celebrity.

By last night there was an on-going peeing on cheerios match with multiple users and IP addresses being banned and post after post being removed.

As I pointed out to them today in no uncertain and unappreciated terms, they operate by consent of the users -- they own the site, but the top 1% of posters have contributed 40% of the content, and by views of those posts have driven something on the order of 140 million ads served up in front of people. Yeah, it could be my way or the highway, but if we take the highway it'll hit them square in the wallet and really not personally affect the posters much at all. (Hmmm, wonder what Kim would do with a 140 million views of ads...)

Yeah Ken, Hot weather, not enough rain, no crops, no pasture, high gas prices, and greedy politcians with nice pay raises! Still think we need a giant catapult to send some of those politicians to the moon for Bush's new moon project he wants? :)

For what it's worth its election year. We have the opportunity to vote out some the products of illegitimate births.
Can't do much about the weather except talk about it.

Real question... in reply to Sam#3, 07-28-2006 16:05:08
Is how can we get candidates that aren't illegitimate births to replace those already in office?

No doubt about it Allen, I'm guilty. Varmets and hot weather don't mix. I wonder how Fluggie would have done with the frog question.

I hear that one. It is only 10:40 AM and it is 84 degrees with the humidity at 57%. I am done working in the garage already as I can no longer keep the sweat from going into my eyes.
