I happened to see an Avery Model A in my local scrapyard. I know nothing about this brand but thought I would post this in case anyone in the region has a use for it.

It is located near Griffin, Georgia about 40 miles south of Atlanta. Probably will be sent to it's final resting place in a day or two, but I will be happy to ask them to leave it set for longer if someone expresses an interest.

It has a complete grill and radiator shell. The engine is in the frame. All wheels appear intact but no rubber left to speak of.

Have no idea how rare this might be, but if someone can use it and save it off the scrap heap let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Larry

Go offer to buy it for scrap value and haul it home. Too unusual of a tractor to let it get cut up. If you weren"t 600 miles away I"d come get it. I live in Maryland. I still might be interested if the yard will sell it cheap.

If you can get it cheap ( scrap price ).. I'm sure you can re-sell it for priceplus.. or part it and do even better.. Not many of those around.. and I'm sure parts are hard to come by.

If you can't find a taker for the tractor it would probably be worth your time to strip off easily removable parts like the sheet metal and carburetor for resale.

There is a guy in southern MI (goes to FL every winter) that collects those. You might find him through Florida Flywheelers.
