Saw this sitting beside the road and it stirred up the idea that it would be a fun little toy to have. The "modifications" only add to its charm for me. It's a '41. Gimme a dollar value guesstimate, please. Assume that it runs.

We have one, from what I can see of the pictures if it runs and your wanting to restore one I wouldn't put more than 7-900 into it. Just from these photos I can see ALOT that has been done and will need changing to go back original. Steering column is homemade and no shield at all around that starter. How tight is the steering and wheels? Does it make a really loud noise when driven like a bearing going down in the rear axle?

Be careful, looks like someone did alot of cobbing up on this beast. The best part is the belt pully attachment. I am a Deere guy.

Is that a new steering wheel still gift wrapped? Or is that duct-tape holding it together?

I've seen those goofy lookin' little things bring over $4K at auctions and we're talking plain jane, unretouched.

Guess that's why I can't bring myself to trust the judgement of those darned green guys very much. :>)

Man you better jump on that one fast. Them JD-Ls can be worht some big bucks if fixed up and looking new. Like it sits it could still be worth a pretty penny if it runs and has good tires. My guess is that it could go for as low as $500 but also be as high as $3000 its not rare but its also not all that common either. I know If I could find one I would jump on it even if I had to barrow the $$ to do so

Well there is one advertised with mid mount sickle mower for 2500. Looks like 7 or 8 hundred to me, as an antique. Bob

Thanks for all the answers, fellahs. The guy is asking $2500. I don't want it quite that bad.
