Just got back from holding a neighbors head together. Got a real sick feeling now. He went for a "quick spin on his motor cycle after working on his pole shed. Ma and pa saw a motor cycle skidding down the road in front of their hose with no body, They found him in their ditch called 911 and me. His skull was in peices so I held it together as best as I could, he kept wanting to move and was totaly in shock. He ended up being life lifted to the Hospital. This happened 1/2 mile from his home, no helmit. His wife was soo distruaght, and his kids were standing at the end of his driveway watching. Seemed like forever for the EMT's to show. Please say a prayer for this young man, as he was pretty bad. Young family, just moved to the country. I am guessing a deer ran out in front of him. Looks like he had to lock the brakes and that caused the loss of control. The bike skidded at least 380' , he about 200. This guy needs our prayers. Now washing all this blood off makes me realize how fragile our life is, regardless of how tough we think we are. I think I am gonna talk to a couple of buddies and see if we cant just finish that shed for him, hopefully he will be around to enjoy it. Thank you good folks.

Already said a prayer Dave. Very sad news.
I was 57 when I left the road on a bike. My helmet was scraped up and I never got back on the bike.
I was glad we had to have them here in Mi.

Sorry to hear that Dave, we just lost a firefighter here from the same thing. 20 seconds from home and no helmet. Prayers for him and his family, no doubt if he survives he will have a long road to recovery.

Tragic Accident....I will certainly pray for this young man and his family. Two things wrong here to learn from. No helmet worn by rider or law requiring it and far too many deer running loose...here and everywhere. Society should be doing something about this.

I don't have a lot of influence with my prayers, but he and his family have them.

Our prayers he definately has. I will also pray that some of the "bikers" over here in Michigan who just this year spent tons of money lobbying to REPEAL our present mandatory helmet law (AND LOST) will read this or hear about this tradgedy. If it only changed the mind of ONE of the so called "freedom riders" it's a start. This mans' tradgedy is bad enough but if we refuse to learn a lesson from it, that is even worse!

We are located 7 miles east of St.Cloud, Central MN. I am gonna stop either at the home or hospital tommorow, providing he makes it. Not sure what is all left to do on the shed.

Dave, that would be a very nice thing for you to do. If you aren't too far away, count me in on helping get that shed put together, let us know what part of MN you are in. Prayers are on the way. JohnG
