Ask her if she prefers AC, JD or IH. You should base your relationship on the type of tractor she likes. Or is she just saying that to get your money?

Straying from the point a bit but-
Some of my rules of human relationships:
1-Find out about her then apply-NEVER date a woman who has more problems than you do.
2-Search through out the universe and find that one person who has the ability to make you abjectly, darkly, and totally miserable. Sleep with her once and it will be the best s-x you've ever known.
3-Never meet a woman in a bar and date her more than once. These are just a few things I picked up going through four divorces.

Rebound!! Can you spell rebound?? Although you didn"t define "recent", if it feels recent, it is. Case Lady and others counselling taking it easy have it the closest to right (there"s no way to tell what"s right in your exact case), but many just out of serious relationships have formed new ones in haste and repented in leisure. Personally, I like women, I always have, and I wouldn"t"ve missed any of them for the world. I was desolated when I went from a small grade school to a large high school, and realised I couldn"t possibly date them all. Best wishes and good luck.

...and another thing, Does this gal have a sense of humor? I think a women with a sense of humor makes your life together go a lot better. I always tried to date woman with a sense of humor because I just enjoyed being with her and if the relationship got to a certain point of mutual exposure it would come in mighty handy.

I can put my tractors in the shed and not talk to them or look at them or start them for weeks at a time. When I find a woman I can do that with I'll probably marry her.

All the advice below is good. Just a word of caution about her comment of 'liking tractors if they make you happy': be very careful. Women that like tractors are extremely rare- like men who like shopping. As others have said, women play mind-games. I am a pessimist, so the statement she made means one of two things to me- 1) since she will let you have something that makes you happy, you better believe she will use this as leverage/bargaining chip in the future and expect the same level (or more) of something else to make her happy (odds are it will cost A LOT more than old tractors). 2) She will say whatever you want to hear to start a relationship at this point.

One the optimist side, she may truly be sincere and this is your golden opportunity. The best advice given is to take it slow- if she really likes you and vice-versa, she will wait and things will work out one way or another.

Good luck- sorry to ramble on, been there and done that (lighter pocketbook and heavier heart to prove it).

I'd say you better pull back on the throttle a bit and make sure you really want to do this. You may hit it off just fine and have a good long term relationship. On the other hand a year from now you might be fighting to keep your iron and your stuff from her in court. Just take it slow, It never hurts to take things slow. Mike.

Make sure the old flame/X or X's is(if had one)completly out of her life if that is ever possible to do.They have tendencies to go back and relive experiences from time to time while making you look like a gullible idiot to the X while he's beating his own chest and strutting around proud to know that he can still have her anytime he wants.Thats one thing to look out for that will certainly end a relationship quickly.Take it slow and learn as much as you can because it can come in handy.

Marry here, and in 6 months to a year you'll know what she's REALLY like, good or bad.

All due respect to the opinions expressed here but I don,t agree with most of them. I've been there and done that. I was married 17 years, when my wife decided she didn't want to be married to me any more. Filed for divorce, She moved 1400 miles away. Met a very nice lady thru a friend of a friend. Maybe I'm an exception to the rule but it has been great. She enjoys old iron, gets right in there and helps, loves to hunt and fish. She keeps a really nice house. We new each other only 8 months before we got married. These have been 7 of the best years of my life. I wouldn't trade them for anything. Trust you heart. I trusted mine.

Shug, run very far, vary fast. You are not looking at things clearly. coming out of a long-term relationship is hard and typically, leaves a huge empty spot in one's heart. An empty spot that whether or not you realize it, you are wanting to fill. This gal might seem absolutely wonderful right now (and she might be just that) but step back, just simply date a little and don't rush into anything or view her through tinted glasses. Think the worst, expect worse than that and see if you still like her in 6 months, but don't jump into anything too soon. Just my .02 worth. CL

With the first woman you were apparantly swpt off your feet ; look what happened . Now you're back at it again . How many heart breaks can you with stand ? Stay single & uncommitted . This woman said she likes your tractors . Meanig she'd own them before it was over or what ? Women are known for head games . I was married 33 yrs & was blinded by love clear up till the day she said good bye .I didn't even see it coming .I've dated a couple & all they do is play head games . Stay single & keep your love for tractors . My theory for women is use the 3F system . Good luck , Ken

If she still likes your tractors a year from now, and you are still together it may work. I would have better feelings for this relationship if you said you met this girl at church. Stan

The youth minister that lived across the road from me turned out to be the I-275 Bike Path Rapist. He raped 7 women that the law knows about. He is in prison now and scheduled to be there for a long time. The youth title sure doesn't gain any respect from me.

My wife loved boating, water skiing, scuba diving, and fishing until the day after I said "I do" so be careful. They like to show you the side you want to see until they have the golden handcuffs on.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.....date them both and play both ends against the middle....

Just one warning.....you'll need to find a third woman to date.....2 women will conspire against you...but if you get 3, 2 of them will stay into something with the third...no way do 3 women get along..... ....and thus won't have time to fuss with you.....

That said, if you can juggle 3 women, go apply at IBM....your management material..... ...
