Here"s a picture of my Super 77 that I have put a steering axle under it. Been looking all over for an OEM wide front few years back, but they"re scarce in this neck of the woods. What I did find they had parts robbed off them or had been welded up one time or another. I wanted power steering one way or another so I resorted to doing this. Had to do some thinking on how I could get this to work without make it look to stupid. I made a lot of patterns to get the way I wanted it to look. Started fabricating the pivot & pivot bushings and the wishbone and plate. I think the hardest part was making the bracket for the Power Steering pump and alternator "combined". Wasn"t much room up under the hood to work with. I was surprised on how well it worked when I got it done. (Did have a few trials and errors with the direction valve hoses at first)
I had four guys that want me to make up an axle for their tractors just like this one. Well I would but I can"t do any type of welding no more. Had an ICD implant a few years back and they tell me I can"t weld or be around anything with high current.
A lot of them didn"t know how to weld. I tell them how do you know till you try.
I"ll let you guys figure out what I used for an axle. A few guys at the elevator would stop an look it over and say that axle looks familiar to them. In fact some of you may have seen one, one time or another. I was surprised on how well it works.
Now it sets around and don"t get used that much since I don"t farm no more. Once in awhile I take for drive around the country block. Thanks for looking. Keep cool if you can! Mike

Looks like it was the front part of a 4 wheel wagon chassis. Very nice job.
