That brings back some memories. What do you use the hay for? The bailer Dad used was a New Holland with a 4 cyl. wisconson air cooled motor. Have fun Stan

I use the hay for horses. There are lots of people around, that will tell you that bahia is not worth a darn for horses. I'll tell you that bahia, when properly cured of course, will never colic a horse. We fertilize the hay, and it will analyze anywhere from 10 - 14% protein, depending on how much you put down and when you get the rain. Our biggest problem is the rain. We are in Southeast Texas, right on the Louisiana line, and being this close to the Gulf, there are times that we can get rain every day. Anyway, our horses get fed twice a day, and they just need the hay for roughage, not protein. We put up 1000-1200 bales a year, for the horses. Thanks for the comments!
