Any good tractor show will have some sort of exspences (dash plaques, advertising, grounds maintenance, labor, electricity, INSURANCE, bookkeeping) ..... and the money has to come from some place. To me the price of admission to these tractor shows is the cheapest form of great family entertainment you can get!
I looked up the Tuckhoe show on July 6-9, 2006 in the 2006 Farm Collector Show Guide and at the bottom of the ad on page 263 the stated admission price is a $5.00 donation for adults (under 12 free), then written right underneath it states "No donation necessary for exhibitors and colonial crafts" .
Bill in Richmond, Va. P.S. The Tuckahoe Show is a great show I have been there several times.

NO WAY

They have made some changes this year.

What do you guys think of them charging a $10.oo entry fee to any and all tractors that are brought in to show/display???

This fee is for any tractor reguardless if it is being judged for a trophy or not.

With the cost of fuel being $3.oo a gallon, the wear and tear on my equipment, and my time involved in moving as many as 15 tractors. I think that I will not attend the show this year.

The Corscia Antique Tractor Club (located in the Centreville Maryland area)is having their first show next Saturday the 15th of July. They want everyone to bring their equipment out for their affair. There is no worry about any entry fees for their event unless you are a vender, and then all they are asking for is a donation to their club.

Well why don't you just take one, instead of 15? People get too worked up about this stuff, just a show.

Luke, Maybe you don't mind paying fees to show your stuff.

BUT I will not let someone charge me a fee to use my equipment for them to make money off of.

Well, I don't go to shows, I use my stuff in the field. But if I did want to go to a show, I'd pay the ten bucks and take one tractor, and not worry about it. Beside's, I'm sure it is not an individual making a profit, but probably a club or group that is charging a measly $10 to help offset the high cost of putting on an event.

I don't display there either. Its way to far to haul something and then pay a fee.
