Thinking about buying a new Montana Tractor (in particular a 4540 or 3940). What is the lowdown on the Montana Tractors? What positive/negative have you guys heard?

They are made in Korea, by the same co. that also makes LG cellphones. Huge Conglomerate that makes almost anything you could imagine. Never dealt with one of the tractors, but Korea is making some quality items now, they are not too far behind Japan...

I don't think I have even heard of it. The only thing I will say is make sure you buy it from a reputable dealer who will still be around when you need him, and make sure that dealer has a well stocked parts inventory, along with a well trained service department.

I think they were introduced in 2004. Their a pretty tough looking little tractor. Looks like they are made really well. Not so much fiberglass like the NH. They also have the mitsubishi engine.

Heard that that are decent tractors. Being a new imported tractor, they aren"t built as heavy as the tractors discussed here. Go to www.tractorbynet.com and they have a discussion section for them.
