I hear it all guys, and both sides have good points, but when yu want to come knocking at the end of my 50 hours of work week, not to mention work at home, I am done, and get a little crabby, so if ya find a guy to help, just be polite and say Thanks, it really does make a difference if the help has been appreciated.

Now, about that Mo-Co, I have seen some fail, not just burn out the cross but break the yoke, and it seems to be cause the slip clutch is rusted up and not giving a little to keep the chuck out of the power shaft, when yer using it normal and ya stop, shut it off and put yer hand on the slip clutch, should just be a little warm, hot means too much slip, cold means too tight and no give, not scientific, but it works, works on balers too just to check and make sure they do the job

Don't know who you are but I farm for a living and I agree with you 1000%.

You have to have a life also.

Guys you need to put your self in there shoes.

If a call during business hours doesn't get your parts find another dealer.

Been on both sides of the counter by working at a farmer welding service for 14 years.

And when 5 or 6 came I was ready to go home and farm. But while at work I worked my but off to get the farmer going again.

He's right someday there will be no dealers in the area if we don't support them.

Just my thoughts.

Gary

GOOD for you Gary,These people(WALMART-EBAY) buy these old wornout pieces of equipment, don't know the first thing about it and expect the POOR PARTS MAN to know THEIR SERIAL number and all.AS far as the dealer saying to call back later,It hurts and makes you mad,but when the MFG. TELLS THE DEALER HE HAS TO PUT UP A MILLON$$$BUILDING most are telling the MFG. to go to----- and go out of busness, then we are left with MEGA dealers who can't afford to keep a bunch of good parts people on the payroll yearround so we have to wait sometimes. As far as the person getting on here and asking where to buy parts because he would have to drive aHalf Hour to NH,well unless he can type faster than I do than he could have been there and back. When the dealers are gone then what are you going to cry about??Let the bashing begin.

you got me wrong, I suport the dealers all the time.. the case and JD dealers are lots of help.. the NH dealer on the other hand don't even try to go the extra mile.. all I needed was a part for my PTO shaft.. went to both the case and JD dealer.. tryed to help me.. but I have to go to the NH dealer now.. don't know, I might be wrong, but I think you should try a little harder to help the people that keep you going.. without guys like me, they would not even be selling parts.. heck I have droped around 1,500 at all three dealers in the last five years.. and I only have 8 acres of hay.. Guys!! Dont get me wrong either. I spend plenty of money at the dealer also! Have also gotton ALOT of help from them. My point was ( and i am sorry if i worded it wrong) was i was trying to finish up my haying... blew a ujoint,,, and TSC was open on the 4th! but why is the u-joint have to be so special? I have nothing against the dealer also!! God bless them! I was just upset about the "special" ujoint!

Sorry for maybe a Personal attack, but it used tobe the lawnmower people and now it is them plus the 10-50Acre people WHO HAVE NO PATIENCE at the parts counter.I know EVERYONE should or needs to be treated Fairly, but it gets hard on everyone when you have aFARMER who maybe buys 1-2THOUSAND a MONTH and has a crop to put in or harvest STANDING there for a HOUR or TWO while the POOR Parts person trys to find a Part for someone who doesn't know what he needs and then DOESN'T buy the part when he thinks the price is too high and can get it CHEAPER elsewhere. My personal findings have been Other than DEERE,Former IH dealers don't really support Case,FORD that weren't NH don'tsupport NH andETC.It is a sad state but we are going to have live with it somehow

massey333,
I really do understand where you are coming from. Besides trying to get a farm going again that has been idle a LONG time. I also co-own a auto repair business. And yes it is a pain in rear with people who seem to just want to waste time. and then try and be polite to the next person in line. There are some great parts people out there,, there are also some not so great ones. But i do know that being in the people biz... you just end up grinning and bearing it. I really did not mean that every dealer ship should revolve around my schedule. that was not my point! It was really frustrating about that dang u-joint!
Again,,,, sorry to all!
Randy

So a phone call is more important then the guy who drives to the dealership to buy parts. You guys keep busting on the dealers just wait till they go out of bussiness and you have to go to TSC and try to get parts from the pimple faced teenager who does not know what a haybine is. Your funny LOL LOL

it's not that they where busy, but the way they said it.. didn't say sorry please call back later.. TSC is nicer than that.. though they didn't have the part, so I guess I HAVE to go to the NH dealer.. went to the case dealer, they tryed to help, but didn't have the part I needed.

use your handle when making comments or forget about posting Dosn't matter if you have a good point and we agree if you won't stand up and use your own handle
