ford 4000 cracked block

hi, i have just discovered that my ford 4000 has got a cracked block about 25millimeters to the right hand side of the middle cylinder (looking up from underneath ). is there any way of fixing it ????? ??..

thanks for help. sounds like that could be the reason for weakness in the 4000,its not used much so i will probably try something like search seal in radiator and take thermostat and radiator cap off to stop pressure, maybe have to ghange oil more often.

i have a friend that used to weld up cracked engine blocks on old tractors. i think he used a nickle rod on cast iron. maybe ask some local welders what they do.

Is this the typical stress failure on these engines, when using the engine as part of the frame? If so, forget it and get the later criss-cross block which was more resistant to this type of failure.
