Great little tractor, but I wouldn't want the gas version. The "B" line of tractors were made in England and India by Mahindra Co. The latter now sells tractors under their own name - and one new model retains most of the original B-414 parts. With the diesels - parts are easy to get. I've got a B-275 and B-414. I just did an engine rebuild and bought all the parts from this website. They are also all available, over the counter, from your IH/Case dealer. I find, quite often, that parts may be available but the catalogs don't cross-listed very well. For example, you probably cannot find an engine kit listed at this site for an IH TD-5 crawler - but you will for an IH B-275 wheel tractor - and I believe they use the same engines. With the B-414 - I think the early IH 500 crawlers use the same engines - in gas or diesel verions. The B-414 gas engine is same bore and stroke as a B-275 diesel. B-414 gas engine also uses and odd-ball carburetor. In regard to pricing - I just had a chance to buy a B-414 diesel in fair conditon for $1800. That's a good buy for a diesel tractor with three-point hitch and live PTO - and that price is not unusual. I assume a gas tractor is worth less - certainly is to me.

be careful. I had a 3414 which is the industrial verson of the farm 414. It was a great tractor, but it had a english made engine and certain parts were getting very hard to find. this was 8 years ago. I traded to a ford. I knew it was just a matter of time till I had to park it in a fence row.
