Need help with third gear. It seems to shift alright but the gears act like it is just not messing togehter all the way. It wants to go but the gears will slip out all the others are working fine. No noise or other problems. This just started as i was raking hay with it. Could it be the shifting fork or the bearings going bad? I have built up the gear shift with the welder.

I'd guess the gear is worn out.

The gear shift lever is probably worn at the bottom where it engages the shift forks . An easy fix .Get new lever or buid up base of old one with weld and replace.
