Hi Guys,

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Was looking at a tractor on ebay that sounded a bit cheap. Ad said it was a "private sale" and to enter my user account info to view the item.

Just got my spotlessly clean identification ripped off and now evidently have about 100 items for sale on ebay. :>)

After my wife bought $300.00 Worth of frozen chicken dinners from the trunk of this slick salesman's car. (Most was frozen)I not only have to watch what I do, but keep tabs on what my wife does on EBAY also. Keeps me busy, Stan

If you're going to keep that Ford truck, might as well list the old GM diesel. Might just bid on that.

Yeah Allan, I get new ones every day. latest is a string of emails You have received an Unpaid Item strike You were the winning buyer on eBay item #7013724376, Vintage drug paperback The Needle Sloane M Britain1967 . The seller, jphlabelle has informed eBay that payment for the item has still not been received, or that the two of you were not able to come to agreement. As a result, you have received an Unpaid Item strike. and more of this one.
hi, could i be placed on your buyers list, so i can bid on your item. many thanks
They all share one feature, The links go to websites in foreign countries NOT EBAY

But,

You're missing my point. It wasn't an email, it was right on the darned ebay home page. :>(

Boy, if that wasn't a chore to get my account turned back on; took 'bout an hour to convince 'em I was who I said I was.

Isn't that enough to give you a "kick in the gut" feeling?

Awhile back, my Wife was going to buy a lap-top computer with a "buy-it-now" offer on eBay. The seller was from New York, but the money was to be sent to Spain.

Turned out that the seller, who had been listing only baseball cards had no idea his info had been misused, with someone adding a "ghost lap-top" to his items. Doesn't take long for some crook to harvest some quick cash over the net.

PS: AAC; Speaking of the net...When you were discussing your work the other day, I was curious enough to visit your business website. Impressive to say the least. That's really something to be proud of. You should be teaching a course on mid-life career changes, instead of getting sunburnt out in the field. On second thought, maybe not! ☺☺☺

I recently bought a item that tutrned out to be a good deal - had couple defective parts that seller took care of. A couple of days ago E-bay sent E-mail saying they had suspended sellers privileges and advised what I should do if did not get the goods.

Still wondering what happened there..... ..... .

Okay,

We just got the account all restored and back to it's original self (except fer the security data) with absolutely nothing for sale and they've tracked the degenerate to somewhere in England.

Think I gotta quit being so darned trusting. Also, start my buying of old tractors only from my YT buddies. :>)

Oh boy... We got to be more care full befor we wake up all the way. I too pulled a good goof with a screw driver and a injector part this morning. I guess it seems we have to do this every once in a while. Those E-bay things smell so bad you can tell them if you are awake. Thanks for pointing them out to others. Kennyp

I'm interested in the Shelby and the Porshe...got a "buy it now" price in mind? :) Wife and I sell on there quite a bit and you have to be REAL CAREFUL...we both have had similar experiances. Too bad 2% mess it up for the rest!

Hey buddy, what's the bid up to on the Harley Davidson? Ya you NEVER, EVER,BUT EVEN EVER give ANYBODY your privates. That's the first thing ebay says on all their printouts. They will never ask that personal information. Hope ya get it straightened out. We had a book of checks taken out of a package that came to the bank in the mail yesterday and they called us and we had to change our account, all our cards, our paypal account info, out telecommunication info that comes out of the account automatically and all that kind of stuff. What a mess, but it's just good the small town bank caught it and took steps immediately to stop any interference in our finances. Harley
