After about 2 months without any rain to speak of the field is finally grown enough to cut. I was beginning to think I had moved next to Allen it has been so dry.
So I go out and hook up the brush cutter and within 30 minutes of cutting it starts raining.
I stop and go inside to wait it out and it stops.
I go back outside to start cutting again and it starts raining again.
Dang it I just cut the grass in the rain. We need it and if it works I am game.
Got a good heavy shower for almost 3 hours. Had to be at least a couple of inches.

Think I may try washing the car tomorrow and see how that works out.

Yep, I started mowing one of the yards I cut and about 5 mins. from finishing, it started to rain. Didn't bother me, though. We need it here in SE OH. SW OH, where our farm is, is starting to hurt in places, too. It would be nice to have about a half inch tomorrow or Tuesday, right before we cut wheat and drill double crop soybeans. Next door neighbor has been making small squares for the last few days. How, I don"t know since it"s raining every few hours. He may be feeding them right out. We"re not close neighbors so I can"t say. I"m still repairing my haying equipment so it"ll be a few days before I start.

The amount of rain here has been overly excessive, many days of rain in a row, 2 weeks ago, 24 hours straight downpouron the weekend, this is the first week anyone dares to fool with hay. The big dairy farm here, got quite a bit in, but on friday, I went by and saw some beautiful alfalfa down, no rain predicted, I wake up yesterday, clear when I went to sleep, gray when I woke up, another 6 hour rain seesion no charge He just cut it, was still in the swath, so it will be ok, but everything you do is predicated on when it's not raining lately.

If I fire up my welding machine, am working on this old truck outside, don't you know as soon as I start, it will rain, well not everytime, but I've been skunked more than once, pack it all in, like a fire drill, than set up again, and repeat LOL, I need to set up at Allan's place, I'm sure it would follow me !

Here south of Atlanta, Ga., we have only had a inch and a half since the middle of march. A half inch three times and days apart. I would kindly take any excess rain anyone has.
