I lost the source of answers for all my Model T questions last January when my dad died at 89. I need to hook up the battery on a "26 T. Were they positive ground like a Model A or were they negative ground?

Thanks

JackT

I haven't had my 22 T out in over 20 years, but I believe it has a negative ground. Just hook up a battery and turn the lights on. If the ammeter shows discharge, you got it right. If it shows charge, flip the battery.

General Motors used a lot of 6 volt negative ground systems before the onset of 12 volt systems.
