I posted a message about a month ago regarding my 2010 dying and I discovered something recently. My tractor only acts up when it is not working hard. Last weekend I was using a rotary cutter in 2 ft. tall grass and it ran like a top. Yesterday I was just driving across a field and it started to act up again. The motor wants to quit. I have a new set of points and condensor to install as suggested by one of you readers but haven"t got it done yet. Any other thoughts?

Its possible the load speed jet(at the front and bottom of the carb) is set too rich and the plugs are fouling or loading up.With the engine running at operating temperature and at fast idle slowly screw the jet in until it begins to lose rpm. Then slowly turn it out until it starts to lose rpm. This drop in speed will be less noticable than the first adjustment. Then split the difference.Do this a couple of times to fine tune the adjustment.
