Been fine tuning the H for the last couple evenings.Working it some and keeping a good eye on things. The only problem I have had after putting twenty five hours and an oil change on it is the cross shaft is leaking on the governor running down the backside of the governor and the fan is blowing it down the side of the block. Was wondering what kind of a seal was in it.The governors something I didnt overhaul because it functioned perfectly before the restoration. If its like the rest of the seals I would imagine it is made out of felt. Can anyone tell me if I can get a more modern seal replacement option and is there a Napa part number available...River Bottom Farmer....Oh yeah before I forget my son asked me quite some time ago if we could name the H after one of our late coonhounds, so from here on out she will be known as Ole' Mable....RBF

Hello Bill, no that was something I just wanted to try. With the tires close together it would ball up with mud every time you hit a soft spot in the fields.I have since turned the rims back in because it was a lot harder to steer and it didnt handle very well when I took it out on the road. Thanks RBF

When I looked back at front tires I thought,"Man, he musta used a whole bottle of Armor All on those." Then when I saw the rears I realized it was wet grass. Nice looking H.
I had thought about spreading the fronts on my H to see would it help with turning sharp in the sand, or with getting back up onto the road after dodging passersby. Good to know I needn't bother.
Thanks, Wm
