mower deck repair

bought satoh beaver with tiller and rear mounted woods brothers mower the deck is rusted out and needs to be repaired any body have experinc on this kind of repair.all input welcome. thanks

If it's like the Woods mowers I've seen (top of deck is basically a flat sheet) and yer time ain't worth nothing to ya, it shouldn't be technically difficult to make a new deck and transfer the old spindles/pulleys/guides/shields to it.

Time consuming as all get out, and easier with a plasma cutter, but not technically difficult. I'd think 1/8th inch black iron plate would do fine, particularly if you get a good paintjob on it after the fabrication work is done.
