I know some of you guys are math whiz's so here is my question:

I have a pair of rear wheelweights, which I think are Massey's.

They are 7" thick x 29" across and have an 11" hub hole.

Approximately, what do they each weigh? Thanks.

I agree with Bob on the amount of wheel weight. Just be careful when putting them. Good Luck..... .

HAR!

You guys are great! I think you are close enough...I figured ballpark 1000 each. I'll tell you this, my 5320 Deere will bring one rear (loaded 16.9x28) off the ground if sitting downhill just a tad and the weight goes in one side of the bucket, the tractor weighs 5300 and change, dry. I bought them as 500 pounders but...there ain't no way!

I am going to try to trade these for the heaviest Deere weights I can find that will fit my 28" rears. Thanks very much for your help.

Someone check me out here:

I get a volume of 4621.295 cubic inches for the weight, and 664.895 cubic inches for the missing hub area, for a net volume of 3956.4 cubic inches, or 2.29 cubic feet.

Since cast iron weighs about 450 lbs per cu ft, the weights would weight about 1030.5 lbs.

That seems like an awfull lot, so hopefully someone will correct this, if it's wrong!

Mark, I would imagine what they"re made of. Are they cast? Cut round steel?

I think that Jim"s onto something. Drive your pickup over to a truck scale with them in the bed, and then without them in the bed, subtract the difference.
