I have a 1940 JD B hand start. I want to add lights and a generator. Does anyone have a drawing or know how to wire it up (diagram with colors(PDF) and wire sizes)? My intent is to have 2 front lights and 1 rear light but I do not want a battery. I have never wired anything so any help is a benifit. Thank You all in advance.
Phil

It can be done, but first, see that you have a generator pulley on your fan shaft. If not, you will have a good amount of work to do. As I understand it, you would have to have your voltage regulator calibrated carefully so as not to burn out the lamps.

No battery ? Guess you"ll just have to forget wiring and lights too and just buy some old lanterns to hang on it.
