Did ya"ll see the scam ad for the JD for 4400 bucks? I just had to write and see if I got a reply and sure enough I did. All I can say is be careful out there, these crooks don"t care who they steal their money from.
Here is the reply I received in full:

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my tractor
(2005 John Deere 642).The total price is :4,400 Usd
(shipping included)
I have worked in USA for the past 6 months and I
purchased the tractor there. My company wanted me back home,so currently I"m in
Italy.
I didn"t bring it home with me because the tractor
have US Standard, and so it"s difficult register it in
Italy.
The tractor is in good condition, like new, 4 x 4,as
no technical damage at all,no scratches or dents,no
hidden defects,no smoking,remaining warranty available
(12 months).Technical inspection and emissions testing
is passed and stamped as well.
It has title of ownership, cleared of any obligations
or fees and comes with all the documents you need to
register it.
The tractor is now located at the Yesterday"s Tractors
warehouse in Chimacum, WA.
The tractor will be shipped and insured by Yesterday"s
Tractors and Square Trade.
Yesterday"s Tractors will act as a 3rd party for our
transaction. You will not have to pay additional taxes
for this.To be able to receive or pick up the tractor
you"ll have to make a $990 USD deposit. The rest of
money you will send me when you will receive, verify
and register the tractor on your name. After you inspect the tractor if anything seems wrong
you"ll be able to receive a refund from Yesterday"s
Tractors.
Please send me your full name and shipping address to
forward them to Yesterday"s Tractors. They will
contact you with all the information you need.
Thanks for your interest, please feel free to email me
any questions or concerns you may have.
Respectfully,
Sorin

It is in response to the photo ad : 4 x 4 2005 John Deere 642 : This is a like new cab air 104 HP farm tractor. It has the 540 PTO and the 1000PTO. The 6420 is really a good tractor and is a present model being . You won"t find one nicer than this. It has straight sheetmetal and does not have any welds on it, not one scratch not one dent, no blemishes on the glass at all. It does not smoke or knock, just a nice diesel sound. It starts up and does not take 2 seconds to fire right up.

I do like the way this guy humiliates the Nigerian scammers, he degrades them in such a harsh, vulgar and vile manner, which is exactly what a thief is !

AND ANOTHER ONE NOW!!! in reply to rgvtx, 05-25-2006 06:11:14
This sure looks fishy... a ford 7710 CHA 4x4 for 4400 dollars, same price as the JD, different location, and a suspicious picture. See what you all think.

If you look right now on eBay, that same photo is being used for a one day auction from Bayern, Germany. Maybe with enough hooks in the water, they catch a big fish sometimes!

I really wish these scamming people would just die, how can they even live with them selves. I had some one stop at my folks place a while back and was trying to get some money out of them for a policy on med presciptions. I stopped in and started drilling him on the facts of the program and wanted to see a paper trail of authenticity, he tried to BS his way through it. Well ya cant BS the BS king. I was ready to punch him but my manner kept me polite and i just forcibly removed him to his car, wrote down his liscence, said I was gonna find out his real name and deal with him in my own way. Havent seen him again. scammer are really putting it on thick to old people. They are copying letterheads and logos and making it all look real and people that grew up in the honest days are falling for it alot. A person about 10 miles from here was scammed out of $250,000 , his children only found out after his death when the FBI filled them in. He was too embarresed to tell them while he was alive.
