I'm not part of the PC crowd, but I have seen kids killed doing this. I reckon some of you were just lucky. I'm thought you might agree. But it's your conscience.I just happen to be one who likes to see kids grow up and be responsible men.

Little late voting because I just got in but I say keep it and to heck with the PC crowd. Anyone smart enough to turn on a computer, find this site, and read a post ought to be smart enough not to copy the pic. If their not then it's their parents fault for not teaching them, not yours for putting up a cute pic. Just my .02...

Keep it. Gave me quite a chuckle first time I saw it. Welded together the jaws on a pair of pliers playing with an electric stove when I was a kid. Glad they had plastic insulated handles. Never forgot the lesson.

DO absolutely keep it. It's priceless if you ask me. Been there, done that, still here today.

As for someone seeing and copying it, as the comedian Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid". I like it, it stays if I'm the boss, or you're fired.

The picture itself doesn't bother me- anyone old enough to be on the board is probably beyond the "danger" age. I guess I'm with the camp that is concerned about use of memory, and what if everyone had a picture on each post? Maybe find a cute one to run a few times, then archive it.

I have a burn scar on my hand to this day from doing almost what the siggy kid is do'in, 'cept I used an old-fashioned hair pin, stuck into the outlet, like I had often seen my electrician Uncle
do with his neon test light.

The hairpin vaporized before the fuse blew, necessitating a trip to the 'ole family doc!

Well, those tv police done banned 3 stooges from network tv so what is next? I kind of like it and wouldn't worry about the PC police because.....

Subject: The Pastors ***
The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read: PASTOR'S *** OUT FRONT
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ***.
This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent.
The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST *** IN TOWN.
The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10. The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS *** FOR $10
This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the
headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER *** IS WILD AND FREE
The bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is....being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery...and even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life... Stop worrying about everyone else's *** and you'll be a lot happier and live longer!
Have a nice day!

As far as the "kinda avatar" The picture adds flavor. Good idea, you did it first. everyone else does not have to copy, let them think of something else to do. I dont have strong feelings one way or the other about the picture. That being said, what would happen if each one of the guys/girls who post on here all had their own picture that went with them every time they posted? I think you would get fewer posts before the page turned and would in general slow the site down. I know some of the posters are good at sizeing the picture to fit the screen, just as N.C. is, but not all are that good at it and I am sure all of us have seen the "way to large picture" that just overwhelems.(sp.?) Like I said, no stong feeling either way, just something to think about.

I kind of enjoyed it. I took the light bulb out of a lamp and stuck my finger in it when I was a little one. Had respect for electricity ever since. I often think that today we protect young ones from everything under the sun so much that when they do come on some danger that they are not protected from; well they had no idea of the consequences. I guess everyone as they grow up thinks their parents are too restrictive, but as I look back in comparison to today I think my parents actually allowed me to do a lot of things at an age that today are either not allowed by law or are not acceptable parenting by todays standards. All I can say is that I have a lot of capabilities today that I would not have had if were not for growing up on a farm and being allowed to do the things I did when my parents felt I could handle it.

Reminds me of the time I got my first Erector set that came complete with a little electric bulb for one of the projects ( a gantry crane, I think).
Anyway, no on had told me the difference between AC and DC, so when I put one wire in one side of the outlet, and the other wire in the other side, why, that little bulb kind of blew up and scared the (choose the word) out of me!

Reminds me of one of my boys when he was little. Was moving into a house we had just rented. My son found the bare wires of a 220 cable that was apparently used to hard wire in the electric range. Kinda tossed him accros the floor. He grew up to be about 6'4" and strong as an ox. Even got a full scholarship to college. Maybe we all needed to zaped a few times when we were little.
