I have just purchase a 4430 and after plowing about 30 minutes it will stop pulling. You can cut the engine off and start it right back up and it will go to pulling again for about 15 minute and stop pulling again. What would be the problem would it be a filter needing replacing or would it be the hydraulic pump.

Change the trans filter and clean the pickup screen and see if works.

You just purchased an abused tractor that somebody pawned off. If some dingaling uses the cheapest hydraulic oil or good old sae 90 in the combo trans/hydraulic of any wet clutch tractor. The non wet clutch compatable oil will soften the brake linings, trans clutch packs, pto clutch packs and pto brake linings into bits of goo. This goo that used to be clutch material and the steel clutch plate filings as well now that the facings are gone. The trans oil screen & filter plug up with the goo and filings. After the tractor is shut off some of the goo falls away making room for oil to flow into the screen/filter again for a little while. Time to find a lawyer. There is no way the previous owner didn"t know about this problem.

From your description I would suggest looking at the injector pump.

VA,

The tractor has a hydraulically engaged clutch, and likely a two-speed that's also engaged by pressured provided by the transmission oil pump.

No clutch pressure = doesn't move.

You need to get the transmission pump suction screen out, and see what's in there. There's a good(?) chance it will be your brake lining$.
