Hey guys, great forum here. Do you know where I can get an oil slinger online for my tiller? I lost my rod yesterday and the oil slinger went with it. The model # is HH60, Thanks!

You can rebuild it if you want but..... ..... ..... I learned the hard way a couple of times it's cheaper and certainly less agrivation to toss a trashed engine in the scrap pile. And start over with all new everything with a warrenty. Outlets such as www.smallenginewarehouse.com etc sell brand new engines at a deep discount.

that engine tends to break connecting rods but usually happens after oil gets low and/or very dirty

you will likely find aluminum welded to the journal, I use 600 grit wet/dry paper to remove it but will try the muriatic acid trick on my next one

I try to get all the metal flakes out too

With the same crank it may throw another rod soon.

Was it working hard when it went or it just said it had enough. I have seen a lot of the rods give up for no reason.

It wasn't working at all. I fired it up to move it and it just died after a few feet. I pulled the rope and it was just free spinning.

I found it! Thanks guys! I found out it's actually a governor gear or something like that, lol. All I know is I need another one. Glad it's only 8 bucks!
